US Military Body Armor Report Methodology
and Target Interviews

Report Research Methodology

Primary research will be conducted with U.S. military agencies, testing organizations, and industry participants.  This primary research will establish a significant basis for this report and Vector Strategy anticipates that over 40 interviews will be conducted by our research staff.

We will analyze contract awards and DoD budgets for expenditures on body armor components, as well as research secondary sources for market size estimates, procurement rates, inventory levels, and similar quantitative data.  Our forecasts models and market size estimates will be validated with military agencies and industry participates prior to final publication.

Armor build rates and sales of manufacturers will be reviewd to determine current production volumes to validate our estimate of current market size, procurement rates, and market shares.

We will gather publicly available data on all industry participants and topics of interest.   Technology innovations, future armor designs, and other market trends will be validated and explored during interviews.
